We are vineyard owners in the Jura, with an 18th century cellar in the historic medieval village of Arlay. Our first wines from our own vineyards will be released in 2022. The vineyards of the Jura go back to Roman times. Château Chalon is the oldest and most famous of the Jura AOCs - this single hilltop of just 19 hectares is home to the extraordinary Vin Jaune ("Yellow wine"), made from the Savagnin varietal. It has the ability, in good vintages, to age for a century or more.
Our mission at our subsidiary Finest & Rarest, is quite simply to bring you the rarest, most fascinating wines and spirits - unique irreplaceable bottles in many cases dating back to the nineteenth or even eighteenth century. We sell almost nothing less than 50 years old. Whether you're looking for an ancient cognac from the "Comet" vintage of 1811, an original Absinthe Pernod Fils such as Toulouse Lautrec might have drunk at a Belle Epoque Parisian café, or a Hannisville rye from the days before Prohibition, you've come to the right place.
